Principal Dentist Dr Dennis Chang, Associate Dentist Dr Yoon and some members of our team share a passion for music, playing a variety of instruments, including acoustic and electric guitars, while also enjoying opportunities to sing together.
To encourage this shared interest, the practice houses a collection of musical equipment including guitars, amplifiers, microphones and speakers. These instruments are not simply decorations—they are regularly enjoyed by our team as a way of bringing people together.
Every Friday morning before the practice opens, the SmileBright Band performs for the team. It has become a tradition that marks the beginning of the day with laughter, music and positive energy. Patients attending early appointments may be welcomed by live music, creating an atmosphere that is relaxed, authentic and uniquely SmileBright.

Perhaps one of the most unique hobbies celebrated within the SmileBright Dental culture is the world of Warhammer miniatures.
Principal Dentist Dr Dennis Chang has been collecting, building and painting Warhammer miniatures for more than two decades. Over the years, his passion has expanded beyond traditional miniature painting into advanced resin 3D printing, allowing him to produce highly detailed models, terrain and large-scale display pieces that would otherwise be unavailable.
Inspired by Dr Chang’s enthusiasm, Practice Manager Jesse Davidson also embraced the hobby, specializing in advanced airbrushing and dry brushing techniques to create smooth colour transitions, realistic weathering effects and striking finishes on large display models. Together, Dr Chang’s expertise in digital design and 3D printing, combined with both of their painting techniques, has resulted in very large models of ‘Chaos Gods’ and ‘Ultramarine Space Marines’ alike. We now have an impressive collection of miniatures displayed throughout the practice.
Miniature painting is a hobby that rewards patience, discipline and attention to detail. Individual models often require many hours of careful preparation, painting and finishing before they are complete, larger models may takes 100s of hours. Every layer contributes to the final result, and every mistake is carefully prevented reflecting the philosophy of continual improvement that also guides our approach to dentistry.
Our display cabinet has become much more than a showcase for our own collection. It has grown into a collaborative display that includes painted miniatures generously shared by patients who enjoy the hobby themselves. These contributions have transformed the cabinet into a conversation piece that regularly brings together people who may never have realised they shared a common interest.
For us, the collection represents more than painted models. It symbolises curiosity, creativity, craftsmanship and the meaningful connections that can develop when people are encouraged to share what they are passionate about.
